DC Train Crash and Austin’s Rail Line

Posted on June 25th, 2009 No Comments

On Monday, a train crash occurred in Washington DC, killing 7 people and injuring more than 70 more. With train accidents like these occurring, it begs the question of whether or not the new Austin rail line will be safe.

The rail line was supposed to open early in 2008, but has been pushed back several times for safety violations. If those violations are not fixed, a crash like the one in DC could potentially occur in Austin in the near future.
