Advocate, MD Financial Group Inc. was purchased by FPIC Insurance Group for $33.6 million, plus potentially up to $12 million.
Advocate, an Austin-based provider of medical professional liability insurance,is the fourth-largest provider of medical malpractice insurance in Texas. Advocate will remain an independent subsidiary of FPIC.
